The 34m Benetti displacement motor yacht Star of the Sea, formerly "L'Escapade", underwent a thorough refit 2002-2005 in San Remo, Italy where all areas on the yacht were attended to.
M/Y Star of the Sea is today a virtually new yacht, in an impeccable condition and is exceptional in that she provides the standard of comfort, space and facilities normally expected on a much larger vessel.

STAR OF THE SEA Accommodations
Sleeps 12 In 6 Cabins
There is an extremely well appointed accommodation for up to twelve guests in six en-suite staterooms.
Accommodation
Master Cabin:
The Owner's Suite, mahogany paneled, full-width, is located forward on the main deck. It features a centre lined King size bed, has a separate seating area with a comfortable double seater sofa, an easy chair, coffee table and a wall mounted LCD 20'' TV, a DVD/CD player with Dolby surround-sound speakers. At the entrance to the cabin there are wardrobes and a separate writing-desk. The suite has its own new fully ceramic-tiled en-suite bathroom with a separate bath-tub and shower-cubicle; two hand basins are built in to a cherry-wood cabinet with marble-top. There is also a heated towel-rail.
VIP Cabin:
The VIP Suite, cherry-wood paneled, full-width is located forward of the engine-room with access stairs from the centrally located hallway. It features a Queen size bed, has a three-seater sofa, a writing desk and a wall-mounted LCD 20'' TV, a DVD/CD player with Dolby surround-sound speakers. The suite has a fully tiled en-suite bathroom with two hand basins built into a cherry-wood cabinet with marble top. The room is fitted with under floor heating and a heated towel rail.
Guest Cabins:
The Four Spacious Double Guest Cabins Aft, are all mahogany paneled and accessed via a separate staircase from the saloon. Three of the cabins are twin-bedded guest suites; two of these have each an additional Pullman bed, making the yacht very flexible with family charters if some of the 12 guests prefer to use one or two of the other cabins as single cabin. The fourth cabin has a double bed.
Each guest cabin has an individual wall-mounted 20'' LCD TV and DVD/CD player with Dolby surround-sound speakers. They also feature their own en-suite fully tiled bathroom with one or two hand-basins, under floor heating and a heated towel rail.
All accomodation have individually adjustable air conditioning / heating.

Main Salon and Dining: Large mahogany panelled saloon and adjoining dining area for 10-12 guests. Can be separated by doors.
Aft Deck: Table seating 8-10
Upper Deck: Casual Dining for 10-12, can be enclosed when desired.
Sun Deck: Jacuzzi, sunbathing chairs
The Upper Salon has a 42'' Plasma "pop up" TV, DVD/CD, and Dolby Surround-Sound Speakers. Satellite TV receiver and Playstation 2.
General:
Extensive DVD Library, selection of CD's, PS2 titles and board games etc.
Wi-Fi throughout.

Captain Istvan Virag (33) - Hungary - Ish first entered yachting 10 years ago, coming from a background of working on a live-aboard dive boat, as a PADI dive instructor guiding guests on excursions at exotic locations. Ish holds an MCA Master of Yachts 500gt license and has experience in cruising the Mediterranean, Caribbean, East coast of US, Mexico, Central America. He worked on beautiful yachts such as Lady Jenn, Bella Dawn and Larisa.
Ish’s utmost concern is the comfort and safety of his guests and he will try to accommodate your every need during your stay aboard Star of the Sea. He encourages you to discuss with him any questions or thoughts you may have regarding itinerary, shore-side excursions or activities to ensure that your vacation meets all of your expectations. Ish speaks English, Hungarian and French.
First Mate Jonas Palm (37) – Sweden – Jonas grew up close to the shores of the North Sea. His love for water led him to the yachting industry in 2001. He is a water enthusiast and a Master Scuba Diver Instructor. He holds a Yachtmaster 200 tons license and has been cruising the world including the Mediterranean, Caribbean, the Pacific and Scandinavia.
Whether your interest is in snorkeling, water skiing, or jet skiing – Jonas is an excellent guide and instructor and here to make your vacation in the sun the best it can be. Joas speaks English and Swedish.
Richard Rowswell (41) - United Kingdom –Served in the Royal Navy for 22 years where he was a professional marine engineer, who sub specialized in air conditioning and refrigeration. He left the navy having completed his contract and was contacted by a friend, who is a crew agent, which led him into the yachting industry.
Richard moved to the South of France, and has been working as an engineer on yachts now for the past 2 years and his duty is to make sure that you have the most comfortable and safe experience aboard Star of the Sea. If you have any questions or concerns involving the yacht, please let Kevin be at your service. Richard speaks English.
Chief Stewardess Andrea Odor (33) – Hungary – Andrea grew up in the west part of Hungary near a small airfield. Her father being a pilot led her to the Airline industry. Using her education, knowledge and experience in the hospitality sector, she quickly became a senior flight attendant. After looking down the ocean for some time she decided to join yachting 4 years ago. Andrea has since cruised extensively through the Mediterranean. Andrea is the utmost hostess - her primary interest is making sure that her guests are relaxed, well looked after and enjoying themselves and she hopes that you will come to her for anything you may need to ensure that. Andrea speaks English, Hungarian and Italian.
Stewardess Erika Jonsson (24) – Sweden - comes from Åhus an old small seafarers village in the southeast coast of Sweden, where the famous Absolut Vodka Company is based. She has been working in hospitality since she was 16 years old, working in fine-dining restaurants, behind the bar, hosting parties and events. She is a creative person with a passion for interior design, arts and decoration. She grew up by the sea cruising on her family`s motor boat and during High School she was specialized in competitive rowing. With a passion for the sea she is now eager to pursue a career in yachting. She has an understanding for Norwegian and Danish, knows a bit of German and is fluent in English and Swedish.
Stewardess Charita van Staden (24) – South Africa – Charita comes from Scourbrough, a small village in the mountains nest to the ocean in Cape Town, South Africa. She has a passion for traveling and a great love for the ocean, which allowed for an easy transition into yachting. She has a lot of background in the service industry, working as a waitress, hostess as well as a river guide. She loves working with children and to interact with people. She can take on any creative task, and especially shines when it comes to making cocktails, decorations, and hosting parties. Charita enjoys sailing, surfing, cooking, nature and art. Charita speaks English and Africaans.
Flavio Moreira (27) – Portugal – Flavio was born in Portugal. He has enjoyed cooking since he was very little, and decided to study at the IEFP, school of culinary arts in Portugal. After finishing his studies he gained experience in various restaurants. For a year and a half he worked in Hungary’s first Michelin star restaurant as a sous chef, then he moved to other famous and excellent restaurants in Budapest to expand and gain experience. Having grown up on the coastline of Portugal he always had a soft spot for the sea and decided to put his knowledge to good use in the yachting industry. Some of his many specialties include Mediterranean, French, Italian and Spanish and Portuguese cuisines. With the 7 years` experience, Flavio is here to take you on a journey in the world of food and accommodate your special request with the abundance of fresh ingredients at his disposal. Flavio speaks English and Portuguese.
